Overnight Policy Rate

Is the interest rate at which major financial institutions borrow and lend money amongst themselves. The OPR, if changed,  influences other interest rates such as those for consumer loans and mortgages.

Seasonally Adjusted Annual rate

The Bureau of Economic Analysis publishes estimates of levels at annual rates for ease of comparisons with related and historical data.

Short Squeeze

Is when an unusual condition causes stock prices to rise unexpectedly. For this to happen, an unusual amount of short sellers must hold their position.
